Inleiding/Introduction

Its analysis and treatment with Acupuncture - TCM

At the end of 2019, a novel coronavirus was identified as the cause of a cluster of pneumonia cases. In February 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) identified the disease COVID-19, which stands for coronavirus disease 2019. The virus that causes COVID-19 is severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
 
COVID-19 is associated with pestilential disease in TCM. The treatment from TCM is based on the patient’s symptoms, signs, time of onset, geographic locations, and individual conditions and is differentiated by syndrome differentiation. Its aim is quite clear—to slow down and prevent the transformation from severe to critical cases and promote the transition from severe to common, in order to control the mortality rate. The most important issue is that TCM could be applied to manage various kinds of Long Covid.

Inhoud/Content

This course is going to present the TCM about the etiologies, pathologies, syndrome patterns, and some predominant Long Covid, such as fatigue, cough, headache, joint pain, brain fog, etc.

The treatment with both acupuncture and Chinese herbs will be introduced.
